Andrew Southgate, Head of Direct Sales at InterCall, has been working with Randstad Sales for over 4 years, and had the same account manager since he joined Intercall.
right candidates, first time
Andrew has stuck with Randstad as they make it easier for him to meet with the right candidates quickly, without wasted interview time or extensive CV screening on his part. With other agencies Andrew had, in the past, received CVs of candidates who were simply unsuitable, and he would waste his time on reading these and feeding back to those agencies. Similarly, he also allocated valuable interview time to candidates who were devoid of basic requirements such as a driving license.
The Randstad team won’t send a mass of CVs to InterCall. Instead, they do all the legwork and fully screen each candidate for them, meeting with them in person to judge their sales and interpersonal skills. Intercall’s account manager then organises for Andrew to meet with the select few high-quality candidates which, in her professional experience of 5 years of recruiting for InterCall, will be of great interest to Andrew and fit in within his team.
meeting challenges
To make recruitment most efficient and timely, InterCall run single interview and assessment days with multiple candidates. Due to their previous performance InterCall set Randstad the challenge and opportunity of exclusivity on filling these assessment days. For these assessment days, we sourced, pre-screened and prepared 12 quality account managers, and six prospective field sales executives.
The quality of pre-screening stood up to the test as 4 of the Account Managers were hired, and 2 of the field sales executives were offered a position. 1 in 3 attendees were asked to start – a great result. From just 6 hours of interviewing over 2 days, InterCall attained 6 new employees.
