Dunelm is one of the most successful home furnishings retailers in the UK and is enjoying rapid growth.  It was founded over 25 years ago in Leicester and the first shops were relatively small high street units.


In more recent years, Dunelm has created a successful superstore format trading in out-of-town locations. Today's portfolio includes over 90 stores spread across the UK. The company has plans for significant growth over the coming years through further new openings.

Peter Shrimpton, Managing Director of Randstad Retail Ltd, formerly branded as RXR, has been working with Dunelm for over 5 years. The Randstad Retail team now recruit for positions right across the spectrum; from store manager, assistant manager and fabric manager roles in their sales force, to various head office positions in marketing, HR and finance.

Randstad Retail have added value by taking pains to understand Dunelm both as a business and the individual managers recruitment needs within.  All account managers sit in on client interviews to ensure that they get under the skin of what hiring managers are looking for and can ensure their proposed candidates match that more and more accurately in future.  This has led to a 1 in 4 success rate at interview on high volume requirements, so Dunelm managers meet the best people quicker. 

On some positions Randstad even input into interview exercises to challenge their candidates.  Hiring managers can clearly see that Randstad Retail are passionate about finding the right people for their business, and are committed to quality.
