Those seeking leisure jobs in Scotland may be interested to learn of plans by Travelodge to create new positions in the country.

A report in HR Magazine states the firm is preparing to recruit around 60 workers in Edinburgh, with a further 300 jobs expected to be created across the UK during 2010.

The Edinburgh Cameron Toll Travelodge is seeking 30 staff, while Edinburgh Waterloo Place has 30 positions open between now and the summer.

"We are looking forward to bringing the best teams together, to help make our new hotels a great success," Travelodge HR director Michelle Luxford told the news source.

New homes are being opened this year in major cities such as London, Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol, with further developments being completed in Staffordshire, Hampshire and Surrey.

Travelodge has more than 300 hotels across the UK and Ireland, with rooms offered by the company from £19 per night.
