A prominent British retailer will create 50 new jobs in the north of England with the opening of a store in Anlaby.Marks and Spencer has announced that it will recruit dozens of jobseekers once the development of its Simply Food outlet in East Riding is completed later this year, the Hull Daily Mail reported.
The 13,000 sq ft store, which is scheduled to be opened in the summer, is located at a new retail park in Springfield Way and will offer a range of products.
Peter Donohoe, Marks and Spencer regional manager, believes that the outlet will bring multiple benefits for the local community.
He told the local newspaper: "We are delighted to be opening a new Simply Food store in Anlaby, boosting our presence in the region and providing the very best of Marks and Spencer food in a convenient location."
Last month, the retailer Tesco announced that it may generate 210 jobs in south-east Sheffield if proposals to add another storey to its current store at Abbeydale Road are approved.
