AllianceCO2 to create 100 sales jobs
3rd July 2009
An environmental specialist based in Shropshire has begun a recruitment campaign to fill 100 sales positions in its organisation.
AllianceCO2, which is headquartered in Bridgnorth, is to provide employment to candidates experienced in field sales as it attempts to meet an increased demand for its services.
The company allows businesses to offset their carbon emissions by planting trees, a practice that has risen in popularity in recent years as businesses aim to improve their green credentials.
David Henderson, chief executive of AllianceCO2, explained the services that the successful applicants will have to provide.
He said: "Our expert team of advisors will visit the client and calculate the numbers of trees needed to start offsetting their carbon footprint and then plant and maintain them in a UK location."
Presently, the firm only employs four staff members in the West Midlands, a figure that Mr Henderson aims to bolster with people who have lost their jobs in the downturn.
The Shropshire labour market was given a further boost last month when plans for a new brewery in Market Drayton were submitted by a local businessman, the Shropshire Star reported.
