The world's largest Titanic exhibition is set to open in Belfast in March, creating 70 new retail and leisure jobs in Northern Ireland.

Named Titanic Belfast, the exhibition will hold auditions for the 70 positions as part of its recruitment drive, which will consist of a unique style of interviewing.

Potential employees will be asked to give a three-minute interpretive presentation - deemed the 'T-Factor' - where their communication skills and enthusiasm will be put to the test.

Further interviews will take place in a more formal setting at a later date for those candidates who best showcase their talents at the auditions.

The recruitment for Titanic Belfast is said to be one of the largest job searches in Northern Ireland in the past few years.

Tim Husbands, chief executive officer of the exhibition, said: "Last autumn almost 1,500 people attended a drop-in day at Belfast City Hall with over 850 expressing a definite interest in working at Titanic Belfast.

"We're conscious that everyone working at Titanic Belfast will be an ambassador, not just for ourselves, but for Belfast and Northern Ireland as a whole."

He added that this is a unique project with the opportunity to promote Belfast to the world.

The city of Belfast has intrinsic links with the Titanic, which set sail in 1912, as the place where the ship was built.
