New jobs to meet rising demand at Cartwright Group

Further employment opportunities are being generated at a trailer manufacturer following growth in sales.The firm has revealed it plans to expand its workforce from 350 employees to 390 on the back of rising demand at the end of 2010.
Based in Altrincham, Cheshire, the
north west company revealed it saw new orders jump to record levels before Christmas, with both existing and new customers purchasing its products.
In addition to 75 roles generated in 2010, Cartwright Group is providing employment opportunities for 20 apprentices and five mobile engineers.
The firm has also witnessed a rise in interest for its rental fleet of nearly 8,000 vehicles, as businesses postponed purchasing new trailers because of the economic climate.
Director John Cartwright pointed to strong levels of activity in the manufacturing sector in recent months and said orders for products have started to rise.
"The next 12 months look very healthy for sales. We are very busy with orders across the range for rigid bodywork, double deck trailers, temperature controlled and swap body systems," he said.
Founded in 1954, privately-owned Cartwright Group operates from a 38-acre plot on which its has design and manufacturing operations providing customers with a one-source solution.
