Travelodge creating 140 hotels jobs in the UK

Travelodge has announced a new summer recruitment programme that will see 140 employment opportunities created in the UK.The budget
hotels chain has purchased 52 new premises from Innkeeper's Lodges and is now expanding its workforce by creating additional
job vacancies.
According to the company, it is the fastest-growing firm of its kind in the UK and the deal marks the most substantial transaction in the hotels sector since 2008.
Hospitality positions available as part of the summer hiring drive include receptionists, night porters, cleaners and managers, with four weeks of training provided to each successful applicant.
Skills related to helping guests have a good night's sleep will be developed for new recruits, while the group has a Fast Track to Management Programme and offers a Travelodge Foundation Degree in Hospitality Budget Hotel and Retail Management to those planning a career in the industry.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals to join our team," Travelodge regional operations director Debbie Husband stated.
Launched in 1985, Travelodge has expanded to cover 452 hotels - the vast majority of which are in the UK - and employ more than 6,000 people, with plans to expand its base to 1,000 premises by 2020.
