Randstad Staffing consultants work in units of two or more.  A single unit is allocated to each client’s account.  The consultants in the unit get to know an individual client’s business and its needs.  They build strong working relationships with the client’s staff.  They’re then able to tailor what they do to the client’s exact requirements.  Because Randstad assigns a unit to each account, clients have year-round support from someone they know.  This provides continuity and continuity is proven to promote confidence. 

Consultants follow Randstad’s “job fit, boss fit, company fit” principle of recruitment.  “Job fit, boss fit, company fit” promotes effective, efficient recruiting through the accurate definition of the candidate’s and the client’s needs.  The process is based on interviews and formal tests with candidates, and meetings and research with clients.  These enable Randstad’s consultants to learn about a candidate’s character, skills, ambitions, and preferred area of work (“job fit”); to assess what kind of person will best match a particular boss’s management style (“boss fit”); and to understand a company’s business, and the kind of culture and working environment it offers (“company fit”).

Consultants handle advertising, CV processing, interviews, screening (UK eligibility, CRB checks) skills testing (via the online/offline system “Proveit”) and shortlisting.  For temporary workers who are directly employed by Randstad (known as “Flex Associates”) the consultants manage all contractual and payment arrangements.
