Aided by the forecasted rain, Melbourne’s Albert Park delivered a thrilling afternoon of racing. Starting on the fourth row of the grid, Rubens Barrichello again scored points for the team in his second race for AT&T Williams, finishing in eighth place. Nico Hulkenberg’s debut Australian Grand Prix ended before it began as he fell victim to Kobayashi’s turn six incident on the first lap. Nico Hulkenberg scored his first Formula One points with a tenacious tenth place in this year's Malaysian Grand Prix. Despite losing track position at the start and having to pit early for a new steering wheel, Nico proceeded to drive a race which culminated in P10. Rubens Barrichello finished in P12 after an issue at the start left him to fight from the back of the field.

China
16th April
Shanghai International Circuit
A very wet Chinese Grand Prix delivered an unsatisfactory result for the AT&T Williams team at the Shanghai International Circuit. Light drizzle at the start of the race quickly turned into continuous rain, which ultimately compromised the team’s strategy and led to a series of pitstops for both drivers to counter the conditions. At the conclusion of the 56 lap race, neither driver had made it into the points, with Rubens Barrichello finishing in 12th and Nico Hulkenberg in P15.

7th May
Circuit de Catalunya
The AT&T Williams team concluded the Spanish Grand Prix weekend with two points courtesy of Rubens Barrichello’s ninth place finish at the Circuit de Catalunya. After a strong start and opening lap which saw him climb from 17th to 12th, Rubens drove a clean race to a points-scoring finish, his third this season. Nico Hulkenberg’s afternoon was less rewarding finishing in P15, his pace compromised by damage sustained on the FW32 after his initial pitstop.

Monaco
14th May
Circuit de Monaco
The AT&T Williams team returned home from the Monaco Grand Prix empty handed as both FW32s suffered mechanical issues during the race. Relegated to the back of the grid after a clutch paddle failure at the start of the formation lap, Nico Hulkenberg’s race ended in the tunnel on lap one when his car suffered a component failure on the front wing. Rubens Barrichello had a strong start to the race, gaining three places as the lights went green to run in sixth, but retired on lap 30 following a failure on the rear of his car.

Turkey
30th May
Istanbul Park
Poor starts contributed to a mid-field race for the AT&T Williams team at Turkey’s Istanbul Park circuit. A mechanical issue dropped Rubens Barrichello from 15th on the grid down to 20th, from where he pushed hard throughout the race to recover to 14th. Nico Hulkenberg picked up a front puncture in the opening lap, the consequent stop bringing him out to fight from 23rd position. In the remaining laps, Nico worked his way up to P17 to conclude the race from where he started.

Canada
13th June
Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
Having made a clear step forward in car performance, the AT&T Williams team was unable to realise its potential with both Rubens and Nico suffering car damage that forced unscheduled stops during the race. Running a split strategy by starting Nico on the prime tyre and Rubens on the option, the team had both the pace and tactical options to claim points before early first stint accidents involving both cars pushed the team outside of the top ten.

Europe
25th June
Valencia Street Circuit
The Stewards of the Meeting at the European Grand Prix imposed a five second time penalty to Rubens Barrichello’s final race classification, along with eight other competitors, for a breach of the rules relating to the deployment of the Safety Car. However, the penalty did not alter Ruben’s final classification in fourth place and the award of 12 driver’s and constructor’s points. While running in a points-paying tenth position, Nico Hulkenberg’s FW32 suffered an exhaust failure which put him out of the race on lap 50.

11th July
Silverstone Circuit
AT&T Williams enjoyed their first double points-paying race of the season in front of a home crowd at the British Grand Prix. Rubens Barrichello’s competitive form continued at Silverstone, where he took two places off the line to move into sixth place before gaining a further position in the second half of the race. Rubens maintained position to take fifth at the chequered flag, securing a second consecutive top five result for the team. A decisive strategy from the pitwall combined with a mature race drive saw Nico match his best result of the season to date and conclude his first outing at Silverstone in 10th place.

Germany
25th July
Hockenheimring
Starting on the dirty side of the grid in P8 and P10, the pair of Williams FW32's struggled to make a clean start to the German Grand Prix. With both Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hulkenberg having lost track position in the early phase of the race, the team had little opportunity to reclaim the ground and despite a clear step up in recent car performance, which was demonstrated again in qualifying, both cars finished frustratingly outside of the points.

Hungary
1st August
Hungaroring Sport RT
Nico Hulkenberg claimed a career-best sixth place Formula One finish in this year's Hungarian Grand Prix, driving a mature and controlled race amid an incident-filled afternoon. A Safety Car on lap 15 saw 13 cars enter the pitlane simultaneously and in one of the ensuing incidents, a loose wheel from another car knocked down Nigel Hope, a member of the AT&T Williams pitcrew. Despite sustaining some injuries, he returned to resume duties on the pitcrew for the second tyre stop of the afternoon, following a precautionary visit to the medical centre. Having started on the prime tyre, the early Safety Car effectively neutralised Rubens’ race plan and he was forced to run a long first stint, but in a courageous move on new options tyres, he claimed P10 for the last point of the day.

Belgium
29th August
Spa Grand Prix S.A.
After demonstrating pace on track and confident weather management from the pitwall on the Saturday, race day did not run so smoothly for the AT&T Williams team. Rubens was an early casualty on the opening lap; as the sole top ten runner starting the race on the harder prime tyre, he hit a wet patch of track under braking into turn 18, colliding with Alonso’s Ferrari and retired early with car damage from his 300th race.
Team-mate Nico Hulkenberg took up the mantle, but before the first pitstop window, lost full throttle control which triggered a series of difficult pitstops, challenging car control in changeable weather and constant revisions to tyre plans on the pitwall. Despite a number of considered gambles to retrieve position, he finished a difficult day in P14.
