Our client, a well-known organisation in Hereford, are seeking an HR Advisor to work in their Hereford Office. They offer a lovely working environment on the outskirts of the city centre..

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide professional support and advice on all aspects of recruitment to line
managers.
• Advise managers on best practice recruitment and selection.
• Manage the recruitment process to include developing job descriptions/person
specifications, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, short listing,
interviewing and selecting candidates. Manage all the administrative tasks
associated with these areas.
• Develop creative recruitment solutions if the organisation is experiencing difficulties
in attracting the appropriate level and quality of individuals.
• Attend recruitment interviews as a panel member and fully contribute towards the
selection of successful candidates.
• Keep up to date with relevant employment legislation and ensure that line
managers are effectively briefed on any changes affecting recruitment.
• Liaise with Herefordshire Council on processing both existing and prospective
employees’ criminal record checks.

Preferred Skills:

• Provide professional support and advice on all aspects of employee relations to line
managers in particular assist in managing ill health cases.
• Ensure that various employee relations policies/procedures are carried out in a fair
and consistent manner to include disciplinary proceedings, grievance handling,
attendance management, capability and dignity at work issues.
• Attend various formal meetings/hearings to advise managers.
• Assist management in the resolution of specific disciplinary or grievance cases.
including acting as an arbiter between the individual and their line manager.
• Liaise with Trade Union representatives to resolve employee relations issues.
• Provide advice on issues arising from employment contracts and legislation.
• Provide advice and support on change management issues including restructuring
of services, redundancy, redeployment and early retirement.
