Our client are a leading independent distributor of product into specialist market places. At present their Senior Executive’s are looking to recruit a Team Secretary to provide secretarial, administrative and general support to the Chief Executive, Group Finance Director and Company Secretary. The successful candidate will be expected to perform a varied role and to work as part of the central Group team.

Key responsibilities:

? screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
? operating the Group switchboard and directing calls as necessary
? organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments
? dealing with correspondence including writing letters, preparing board packs and minutes
? organising meetings, and ensuring the senior team including non-executive directors are well-prepared for meetings
? dealing with incoming email, faxes and post
? producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
? coordination and support of Group annual or interim events
? managing and coordinating internal and external events on behalf of the senior team, to include venue hire, refreshments and all required administration

Due to the demands of this role, it is essential that applicants are able to demonstrate a sound and working knowledge within the following areas:

? Proven secretarial experience at senior/ board level
? Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
? Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
? Able to show initiative and enthusiasm
? Sound knowledge and ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Adobe PDF and Outlook
? The ability to commutate confidently and effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing

Due to the nature of this role and availability of information, the successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in the strictest of confidence, exercising discretion and initiative when required.
