Fitting Shop Apprentices x 2
£12K - £14K + funding for NVQ3 + pension scheme + free parking, job security, 25 days holiday
Global manufacturing company based in Gloucester is currently seeking two new Fitting Shop Apprentices to join their production team.
The role will initially involve pairing up with another employee from the company who will look after you and give you the necessary guidance and fitting shop training that you require during your first year. You will work 5 days a week and also attend college.
You will be assembling valve and actuator components in a factory environment, whilst under constant supervision. You will receive extensive training in the use of overhead cranes, manual handling, slings and health & safety at work. Once fully qualified, your salary will increase to £18K - £20K.
An individual with experience or a Diploma, HND, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent in Automotive Maintenance, Vehicle Fitting, CNC machining, Car Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering would be very suitable for this position. We would also like to hear from you if you have worked on engines or compressors before or have a good level of technical aptitude and would like to work in an engineering/production environment.

Somebody who is punctual and hardworking with a conscientious and responsible approach to work is sought. Strong communication skills and good listening abilities are also desirable.
There is the opportunity to earn a significant amount of additional money over and above your basic salary in overtime if desired. Overtime is always available in the evenings and at weekends at double time or time and a half, depending on when you work.
