About Our Client
A customer focused organisation who have grown their FMCG business over the past 120 years into a leading organisation within their field. Their continuation of a traditional service led business model has allowed steady growth and because of this they are in a position to recruit an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join their team.
Job Responsibilities:
- To build loads for distribution focusing on high levels of vehicle utilisation and efficient route planning whilst maintaining optimum stock levels at the primary consolidation centres.
- To manage a small team of 2 administrators
- To achieve synergy with all approved suppliers and hauliers particularly with regards to efficient and constant communication.
- To establish effective relationships with customers and sales staff at all times.
- To be responsible for the National load planning process, which should ensure satisfactory service levels to customers and achieve cost efficiency measured against a monthly budget.
- To maintain efficient communication channels with the production planning function and warehousing to achieve optimum product availability to the trade.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience within a similar role is essential
- An understanding of managing effective customer relationships is beneficial
- Load planning experience
- Management of budgets
