Our client is a leading Metal Manufacturer specialising in producing special metals for the engineering and construction industries. Due to demand they are expanding and require skilled and experienced staff to join their Production teams.
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team in Hereford.
Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Implementation of Training and Development for the production team
- Effectively managing OH&S, quality, output and costs
- Carrying out attendance and performance reviews and where appropriate carrying out disciplinary meetings
- Assist other supervisors in day to day departmental issues
- Stand in for Production Manager at specific operational meetings where applicable
- Monitor targets and key performance indicators of production team
Preferred Skills:
- HND/Degree Qualified in an Engineering or Manufacturing Science Discipline (Metallurgy)
- Proven supervisory/management experience
- Long term view – someone wanting to develop and progress in this industry
Personal Attributes:
- Good communicator, capable of driving change of continuous improvement
- Ability to influence a team to achieve desired results
Associated Benefits:
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
The shifts are 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
