Randstad Business Support are currently recruiting for a manufacturing company who are currently seeking a Material Planner to work in their clients Kidderminster location. The suuccessful candidate will have a background in Purchasing/Materials/Buying/Supply chain and Procurement and be looking to develop a career within a forward thinking company
Job Responsibilities:
As a Materials Planner, you will be:
- Purchasing components at best cost to the business
- Supporting the development of stock policies and local supply agreements with suppliers to improve performance
- Investigating and understanding the root cause of supply problems
- Planning and expediting components to ensure on time delivery to the customer
- Monitoring and maintaining the material schedules
- Maintenance of safety stock levels, supplier lead times and MRP systems
- Investigating and challenging price increases and increase to MOQ’s and MBQ’s
- Justifying and raising infills
Preferred Skills:
- A background in supply chain
- Computer Literate MS Office to include word and excel
- A team player who can work under own inititive
