The Business Development Manager roles will be responsible for achieving sales revenue and gross profit targets for their nominated vertical markets and product ranges, in their relevant geographical areas, with a particular focus on the award winning Excel Structured Cabling System which currently accounts for 11% of the UK market share.



The successful candidates will work with specifiers such as end-users, consultants and contractors to secure acceptance, specification and sales of company products and particularly the Excel Structured Cabling System. The key areas of the role will include:
•Identify and target market segments and the relevant specifiers, where specification of the companyand the Excel system will be best accepted
•Clearly understand and define the specification and procurement route
•Develop strong relationships with all appropriate contacts within the relevant specifiers
•Identify and qualify new opportunities
•Secure profitable, sustainable business within the allocated markets
•Meet or exceed monthly sales revenue and gross profit targets
•Provide regular and accurate forecasts to the Director of Sales - Cabling Infrastructure on current revenue and the longer term sales pipeline
•Provide feedback to the Marketing department and Sales on latest competitor strategies and actions to provide market intelligence
•Attend sales meetings and provide updates on developments within the market
•Actively seek up-selling and cross-selling opportunities and relay these back to the appropriate people to increase the overall sales opportunity
•Provide feedback to Director of Sales - Cabling Infrastructure on any new product opportunities for consideration
•Represent Mayflex at all meetings with customers and vendors demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism


Desired Skills & Experience

Success in this role relies on an extensive knowledge of the industry and key competitors coupled with an in-depth understanding of the company and Excel proposition, once full training has been provided.

You will have the ability to engage and develop relationships at all levels in the customer organisation and work closely with specifiers to develop awareness and acceptance of the company and the Excel Structured Cabling System.
