Sales and Marketing Manager
Based in South Liverpool
14 month contract position with opportunity to go permanent
Salary £40,000 - £50,000 including car allowance
Our client is a national organisation who specialise in the Food healthcare market. Currently they are looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to join them on a 14 month contract covering maternity leave. There may also be a possibility of the role going permanent at the end of the contract period.
Primary objective of the role:
• Help deliver sales and profitability for the portfolio of products in the UK and Ireland through various strategic sales and marketing strategies
• Champion the brand to healthcare professionals delivering high level of customer service and contribute to the strategic development of the current portfolio
Key responsibilities:
• To implement annual sales, marketing and promotional plans for the portfolio of products
• To oversee the day to day implementation of plans/activities and deliver them within agreed time frames and budgets
• Work closely with the operations manager and key teams to coordinate the development of new products and line extensions
• To monitor and evaluate product performance, market trends and competitor activity
• Manage the marketing team which consists of 6 direct reports ensuring regular operational review meetings are held
• Establish a network of strong relationships across external customer groups (agency partners, advertising, media, design, web and PR) and internal operational and marketing teams.
Skills required:
• A formal qualification in either Marketing and or Nutrition
• Knowledge of the reimbursed healthcare market, ideally with nutritional products would be an advantage
• Understanding of the main areas of the marketing mix and NPD
• Ability to think strategically but desire to “roll up sleeves” and get stuck into day to day tasks
• An interest in food and healthcare with enthusiasm and commitment to make a difference.
