We are looking for a highly motivated individual for a new role that has recently been created. Our client is a major employer in Bristol that now requires a Pricing Analyst with a large amount of experience of price elasticity and profitability modelling to join their team as soon as possible. You will be considered an expert in your field and be able to lead the way in terms of best practice and training.
Job Responsibilities:
As the Pricing Analyst, your primary responsibilities will be the following;
- Complex interrogation of data sources to provide recommendations for the optimum recommended retail prices for products.
- Develop the conjoint pricing model and other pricing models to support all pricing recommendations.
- Identify pricing opportunities, including price marked packs, for business development and optimum brand performance.
- Keeping abreast of major factors affecting the pricing of products such as production costs.
- Manage the process of price changes, including production and communication of all price lists and the updating of pricing information in the Sales Order Processing System.
- Communication and presentation of key pricing insights and recommendations to the business.
- To represent the department, on an ad hoc basis, in cross functional working groups
Preferred Skills:
- Experience of price elasticity / price and profitability modeling
- Highly numerate and analytical with advanced level Excel and ability to master new systems quickly
- A proven track record in the pricing of goods, preferably in an FMCG environment
- Advanced level usage of UK Reporting
- Trained to degree level or equivalent (i.e. CIM qualification)
- Experience of using market data to meet the requirements of decision makers.
- Understanding of developing commercial strategy

- Must be highly organized, accurate and thorough in their approach to work.
- Must participate constructively within the team, contribute at team meetings and communicate effectively with the team at all times.
