Our client is seeking a research and development manager to join their company at a very exciting time. The company are fast paced and are continuously looking to grow. They need someone that will always strive to maximise the awareness of the brand by delivering outstanding customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
As a research and development manager , you will be:
- To manage the technical team and oversee various projects and ensure deadlines are met
- When necessary present projects to the different business departments – especially the Sales and Marketing forces.
- Travel overseas is a requirement for this post – this may be to progress projects in other business units abroad, or to visit suppliers or attend conferences
- Be a technical point of contact for manufacturing support
- To follow the company New Product Development process for all new projects, thus ensuring that all business units are “buying in” to project
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A relevant degree in chemistry or equivalent
Personal Attributes:
- Detail conscious and methodical approach
- Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
- Being adaptable and innovative

Normal working week is 37.5 hours - additional as required by the role. Cover between 8:00 - 6:00
