Our client is one of the largest and most trusted banking and financial services organisations in the world and is currently recruiting for an Operational Risk Management Officer to be based in Bristol city centre. The Operational Risk management team is responsible for the work undertaken across Wealth Service Delivery sites to adhere to Group Standards and Regulation.
Main Responsibilities
- Working in an operational risk management team you will provide administrative support and guidance to business areas within Wealth Service Delivery in relation to generic controls such as data protection, diary watch and mandatory reading requirements
- The role is based in Bristol, however there will be minimal travel to Southampton when required
- You’ll ensure that Wealth Service Delivery operates within the required regulatory framework and to Group standards
- You’ll also proactively share best practice and provide guidance and instructions to make operational control more effective
The role will require you to provide up-to-date, timely and meaningful Management Information (MI) and you’ll complete regular reviews of content and procedures, updating the intranet as appropriate

Calm and objective under pressure, you'll learn new approaches and knowledge quickly, and you'll take responsibility for staying up to date with standards and requirements and delivering accordingly
You’ll also be alert to identifying risks and you’ll be mindful of deadlines and targets and take steps to assure service level agreements for the team are met
Experience
? Experience working in a banking environment or in an operational control role
? Knowledge of controls surrounding operational risk, e.g. data protection, data classification, system and access controls
? Good IT skills
? Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
? Good planning and organisational skills
? Ability to work to own initiative
