Our client, a reputable and well known name in the supply chain industry, are seeking a Buyer to work in their Gloucester location. They offer an award-winning working environment with plenty of opportunities for personal development and career advancement.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Buyer, you will be:
  • Purchasing components at best cost to the business

  • Supporting the development of stock policies and local supply agreements with suppliers to improve performance

  • Investigating and understanding the root cause of supply problems

  • Planning and expediting components to ensure on time delivery to the customer

  • Monitoring and maintaining the material schedules

  • Maintenance of safety stock levels, supplier lead times and MRP systems

  • Investigating and challenging price increases and increase to MOQ’s and MBQ’s

  • Justifying and raising infills


Preferred Skills:

  • A background in supply chain/purchasing or Buying

  • Used to working with International suppliers

  • Computer Literate MS Office to include word and excel


Personal Attributes:

  • Self Motivated

  • Time management

  • Organisational Skills
