My client, a market leading business to the motor trade, is seeking a motivated and professional Sales Account Manager develop strong relationships with existing clients, increase profitability and build a progressive client base. This is an exciting opportunity with excellent career and bonus prospects for an enthusiastic, target driven individual.

The minimum earning potential for this role in the first year is 28K.

We are looking for a sales-driven individual, who is dedicated and passionate about developing their existing outbound sales skills into account management. This is a newly created role, which offers the right person a chance to make a real impact on the business and potentially develop into external account management, field sales or management.

Job Responsibilities:

Working as an Account Manager, within a team of 2, you will have the following responsibilities:
n This is an office based, outbound role, contacting existing customers and leads to generate orders and increase usage. You will actively maintain and grow sales in line with targets.
n You will work on an existing database of SME businesses, working to increase client spend and develop existing or lapsed customers
n You will progress into market research and develop and develop the database to increase orders and market share
n You will generate, receive and qualify leads, working closely with the customer service team and field sales executives, taking the customer from enquiry through to order stage
n You will issue quotes and promotions, negotiating prices and co-ordinate with the Sales Administration team to progress the account
n Annual commission on target earnings will be based on a monitored performance
n Targeted customers will be proactively and regularly contacted with a view to generating additional orders
n Internal Account Managers will work closely with external Account Managers and Customer Services Coordinators as required to exchange information.
n They will research, generate and follow up new potential leads with a view to increasing sales of products.
n Generate new business opportunities through outbound telephone calls, in order to develop into a full account manager
n Be aware of market developments and actively growing the business into new industries
n Retain accounts with a view to driving increased use and profits
n Maintaining the company’s database and ensure all records are current and updated
n Building long term relationships with the clients and prospects

Preferred Skills:

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
n At least 3 years sales and customer service experience, within a business to business environment
n Some account management experience is preferred but not essential
n Proven history in taking sales from introduction to closure
n A background in logistics, vehicle products or engineering sales is preferred but not essential
n Excellent communication and listening skills
· A polite, confident and friendly telephone manner with the ability to build up customer rapport quickly and effectively
· Initiative
· Confidence using IT packages
· Enjoy working with customers and building relationships.
· A positive attitude.
· Flexibility, a willingness to learn and a quick thinking approach.
· Perseverance and the ability to respect customers' answers.
· Good knowledge about all the company's products and services.(Training given)
· Well organised and thorough, even under pressure.
· Enjoy working within a target-driven team environment.
